How is this different from a normal motion sensor?
A conventional motion sensor generally needs noticeable movement. A human presence sensor is intended to recognise occupancy, including subtle movement, helping a room remain active while someone sits relatively still.
Does it require a Zigbee hub?
Yes. A compatible Zigbee hub or smart-home controller is required for configuration, automation and app integration.
Can I reduce the detection area?
Yes. Detection range and sensitivity are adjustable, which helps tailor the sensor to small rooms and reduce unwanted detection beyond the intended space.
Can it measure ambient light?
Yes. It includes an illuminance sensor with a stated measuring range of 0 to 2000 lux.
How is the sensor powered?
It operates from 12V DC and includes an Australian RCM-certified 12V adapter. Follow the supplied installation instructions and applicable electrical requirements.
